A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA offers a wide variety
of Group Fitness classes including: Aquacise,
Hi/Low Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Cardio Kickbox,
Body Sculpting, Cross Training, Group Cycling,
Pilates, Baby Boot Camp, Yoga and more. YMCA
Fitness Volunteers and Staff are trained and certified
YMCA Fitness Instructors. Check the program schedule
for days and times.

You will meet with one of our trained staff who
will set you up on a cardiovascular workout plan
based on your specific needs and goals. You will
learn how to use the Fitlinxx system to maximize
the potential and results of your customized plan.

fit exercise into your life and we will show you

Each interval training based workout provides both
cardiovascular and resistance training. Offered

you the opportunity to obtain a certification in
group fitness, individual conditioning or aquatic
fitness. Courses and descriptions are listed below. |
BASIC
THEORY

This
theory-based course is the first step towards
becoming a fitness leader. It includes: YMCA Mission
and Values, anatomy, physiology, healthy lifestyles,
biomechanics, conditioning principles, exercise
design and nutrition. Successful completion of
the exam is required before progressing to specialties.

class. This course will include a variety of components
