Earthkeepers (Grades 5 & 6) is an exciting hands-on learning adventure that aims to develop within each individual a value system based on respect for all living things. With some preliminary classroom work, an on-site learning experience, and at home and school follow up, students learn about the earth's cycles and our impact on these systems.

School of Leaders (Grades 7 & 8) is a residential, two and a half day program that helps students learn about themselves and their role in the classroom and the school community. Tailor - Made Programs for Any Grade

We also design programs according to the specific needs of the class(es).

Tailor - Made Programs

Our Teambuilding & Leadership Programs explore how groups develop and interact. The day consists of a series of fun, exciting and challenging activities that are designed to promote cooperation, communication, adaptation and trust. Groups meet both physical and intellectual challenges that are designed to stimulate an approach that values the abilities of each individual, but relies upon the interaction of the group for successful completion.

The activities take place both indoors and out, and provide opportunities for group members to:

  • Solve problems as group
  • Get to know the unknown/unfamiliar strengths of oneself and others
  • Communicate and adapt in unfamiliar situations and surroundings
  • Rely on and trust one another in order to be successful in the challenges
  • Resolve potential conflict positively and productively
  • Test, confront and surpass percelved limitations
  • Accomplish tasks that initially seem unachievable

...and learn how to apply these skills to "real life" situations back at work, school or on the rink or field.

All activities are debriefed during a conversation facilitated by our trained program staff, but driven by your group members.

"Challenge by Choice"

During all of the activities, individual participants are in complete control of their own level of involvement. Although participants might be gently encouraged to challenge themselves, we do not believe in persuading participants. Those who choose to participate to a lesser extent will discover that there are many other roles to play, regardless of level of physical involvement.

Your Schedule

A draft schedule exists, but this program is tailor made by your group leader and our program director to suit the specific needs of your group. As well, the daylong experience can be designed to include an additional day, with supplemental activities included.

Food Service

All meals and snacks are provided and prepared by our full time kitchen staff in our well-equipped, modern kitchen. Meals are served buffet style in the dining hall or Solarium. Vegetarian alternatives are available, and special requirements are easily accommodated with advance notice.
