Mad Science (6 - 12 yrs)

Mad Science sparks the imagination of children everywhere with cutting-edge, interactive programming.  This spectacular science camp will get kids excited about learning and blown away by hair-raising experiments!  Campers will have the opportunity to participate in wild and wacky hands-on workshops and science-related activities and games in the morning followed by an afternoon of traditional camp activities including a recreational swim.  Kids will explore a variety of topics and will be sent home with an exciting take-home experiment.  Cool experiments like slime, periscopes, tornado tubes, cotton candy, space balls, dinosaur teeth and so much more.  This high-energy, quality program will leave your children screaming for science.  A new Mad Science theme will be explored each camp week.  Check with Membership Services for themes.

Please note that, as with all specialty camps, the camper's day is divided between the specialty portion and our other fun filled camp activities.  Also, should any portion of this camp require travel off of YMCA property it is the parent's responsibility to ensure that the camper arrives before the bus departure time otherwise that parent must transport the camper themselves to the sight and sign them in with YMCA Staff only.
