YMCA of Cambridge
Computer Fun (4 - 5 & 6 - 9 years)
With emphasis on art and music, this camp provides an opportunity for children to explore their creative side while learning basic computer skills. Each child will work on a personal laptop, supplied by Kids Computer Fun, to create simple animation and art projects as well as compose their own music. Each camper will receive a CD with their artwork and music compositions as well as a T-shirt with their own design. This camp is facilitated by Rasha Hasanen of Kids Computer Fun. Campers will spend half of the day in the computer lab and the other half participating in traditional camp games, activities and swimming.
Please note that, as with all specialty camps, that the camper's day is divided between the specialty portion and our other fun filled camp activities. Also, should any portion of this camp require travel off of YMCA property, it is the parent's responsibility to ensure that the camper arrives before the bus departure time otherwise that parent must transport the camper themselves to the sight and sign them in with YMCA Staff only.

LEGO WeDo Computer Camp (6 - 9 yrs)
This camp will provide a great opportunity for kids to get an introduction to simple robotic motors. In this camp kids will build LEGO models of machines and animals. Then campers will learn to attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer and configure their models' behaviour to walk, make sounds and respond to commands using a simple programming tool. Campers will spend half of the day in the computer lab and the other half participating in traditional camp games, activities and swimming.
