School Host Program

School Host Clubs

ESL teachers, Teachers and Principals are invited to inquire about bringing the club to your school (aimed for students 8- 14 years old).  All other services of the school host program are available to anyone in the community (see Other Services below).

The School Host Program matches newcomer students with volunteer students, aiming to help newcomer children and their volunteers meet new students. All participants learn tolerance and acceptance of cultural identities in an open and safe environment.

Time Commitment

  • Choose from One of Three sessions (October – December, January – March, April – June)
  • One lunch hour a week, for 6 – 10 weeks
