Named Funds - Capital Investments
Over 43,000 people participate in KW YMCA programs and services annually through
28 program sites. Over 7,200 members participate in the A.R. Kaufman and Waterloo
YMCA Health, Fitness and Recreation sites. There are three residential summer
camps, one day camp and a year round Outdoor Education Centre that serve nearly
9,000 youth and their families. The KW YMCA is a large provider of quality not-for-profit
child care in Kitchener-Waterloo serving 360 families from six sites. These buildings
require regular upkeep and occasional refurbishment. In addition, the K-W YMCA
plans to build new sites which may continue to serve existing members as well
as appeal to new members.
Donors may designate their Planned Gifts to the Foundation
for use in Capital Building or Equipment purposes by the
KW YMCA.
